Ceer, Saudi Arabia’s pioneering electric vehicle (EV) brand, is forging new alliances with third-party line builders and contractors, along with Siemens, to implement a cutting-edge automation system at its manufacturing facility in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
This strategic partnership marks a transformative step in Saudi Arabia’s automotive landscape, and is projected to generate an additional $8 billion (SAR30 billion) in GDP by 2034.
According to the company, the core element of the agreements involves integrating Siemens Digital Industries’ solutions to ensure streamlined digitalisation and automation within its operations. As part of the commitment to knowledge-sharing, Siemens will offer an extensive training program for 100 engineers at Ceer.
This initiative will cultivate local expertise, familiarising them with Siemens’ advanced technologies, and will help to develop a competent workforce ready to spearhead innovation in the automotive sector.
