Mohammed bin Salman Foundation – Misk – has revealed the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City, the first-of-its-kind, in the world. The master-planned city is located in the Irqah neighbourhood in an area of approximately 3.4 km2.
The area was allocated by His Royal Highness Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk), and has been developed financially under his patronage since the early days of its inception, according to a statement.
The vision for the city is to serve as a model for the development of the non-profit sector globally and as an incubator for youth and volunteer groups as well as local and international institutions. The non-profit city will contribute to achieving the goals of Misk in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and qualifying future leaders.

The general master plan includes residential areas with 500 villas and townhouses and 6,000 apartments with multiple floor plans, which are anticipated to accommodate nearly 18,000 residents.
Commercial areas in the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Non-profit City are estimated to cover more than 306,000 m2, with an estimated workforce to reach approximately 20,000. In addition, around 99,000 m2 have been allocated for retail, entertainment, and food and beverage outlets serving residents and visitors alike.
Overall, the statement added that, the non-profit city embodies a human-centred, advanced digital metropolis designed to be sustainable and pedestrian-friendly. Over 44% of its total area will be dedicated to open green spaces in the continued advancement of sustainable development.
The project will provide services that contribute to creating an attractive environment for all beneficiaries of the city’s offerings, and by defining non-profit work in its internal operational concept and in terms of opportunities and youth training programs, it will provide.
