Construction Week Middle East KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022 confirms speakers

Scheduled for 29 March 2022, the KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022 has confirmed KEO;s Sameer Daoud, Alstom's Mohamed Khalil, and Khatib & Almani's Mohammed Sharara

As Construction Week Middle East readies to host the KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022, we are thrilled to reveal that renowned industry experts have been confirmed as speakers for the event.

As home to some of the biggest projects in the region including the upcoming Riyadh Metro, Jeddah Metro, Makkah Public Transport Programme, AlUla International Airport, and Red Sea International Airport, among others, Saudi Arabia is witnessing a transformation which is further supported by the launch of the National Infrastructure Fund (NIF).

Scheduled for 29 March 2022, the KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022 will take place at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, starting at 10:00 AM. The summit will highlight several aspects of the growth of transport and social infrastructure projects in the kingdom inline with Vision 2030.

Opening with a keynote speech that will address the growth of the infrastructure sector in Saudi Arabia, the line-up at KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022 will follow panel discussions on topics including “infrastructure sector in KSA support Vision 2030 agenda“; “growth of renewables infrastructure“; “challenges facing smart cities infrastructure“; and “designing the infrastructure of the future“, and presentations on topics such as “challenges in cost and project management” and “Saudi Arabia as the ME data centre hub” and closing remarks from the team.

About the speakers

Once again through a line-up of government representatives and key construction stakeholders, the KSA Infrastructure Summit 2022 will address the challenges and opportunities surrounding Saudi’s infra development. This year we have redesigned our conference agenda to include not just panel discussions but have also introduced presentations to share knowledge and experiences by key construction stakeholders.

Sameer Daoud
Executive Director – KEO Infrastructure

Sameer Daoud, Executive Director – KEO Infrastructure

Daoud is the Executive Director of KEO Infrastructure and brings 23 years of global project experience, along with significant executive leadership and operational expertise.

Daoud is a qualified degreed Civil Engineer, and holds current memberships in the American Society of Civil Engineers since 2001, Texas Board of Professional Engineers since 2005, and the UAE Society of Engineers.

Previous experiences included serving as a senior Infrastructure Leader in WS Atkins and WSP Middle East. Subsequently, Daoud joined Hyder Consulting as the Regional Managing Director – Transport & Infrastructure, and after the company’s acquisition by Arcadis he took over as Global Business Leader for Infrastructure & Water.


Mohamed Khalil
KSA Managing Director – Alstom

Mohamed Khalil, KSA Managing Director – Alstom

Khalil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in the United States.

Khalil has been at Alstom since February 2014, and joined the firm on the Riyadh Metro Project and from 2014 to 2018, held multiple positions, namely Operations Manager from 2014 to 2015, Commercial Director from 2015 to 2017 and Project Director of the Track Joint Venture from 2017 until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, Khalil held the position of Managing Director of Egypt.



Mohammed Sharara
KSA Director – Khatib & Alami

Mohammed Sharara, KSA Director – Khatib & Alami

Sharara is a director in Khatib & Alami’s geospatial systems integration (GSI) division, based in Riyadh. With almost 25 years’ experience in delivering geospatial and digital solutions at both national and municipal levels, he has played a key role in the growth and development of Khatib & Alami’s digital solutions offering in Saudi Arabia.

The company’s GSI division today employs hundreds of experts in the kingdom who deliver high impact, multi-million-dollar projects across its full lifecycle: project planning, requirements and business analysis, data collection and processing, researching products and technologies, system deployment, end-user training, and customer support.
